In the most recent episode of the Twitter saga, Elon Musk tweeted a poll to users asking if he should “step down” as head of Twitter. Shortly after that, Snoop Dogg decided to troll him by tweeting a poll of his own. “Should I run Twitter?” the rapper asked. In less than 24 hours, over 2.3 million user responses have been recorded. 81% of the responses voted in favor of him becoming the new CEO.

As for Elon Musk, his poll results weren't as favorable. Approximately 17,502,391 votes were made in the CEO's poll and 57.5 percent said “yes,” while 42.5 percent said “no.” Shortly after he tweeted the poll, a verified account mentioned that a new CEO has been chosen. Musk quickly denounced that claim “No one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive. There is no successor,"” Musk said in response to the tweet. Following the poll's results, he has not officially announced if he will really leave the platform, but at least he knows what the people think.

Snoop Dogg, however, has joked about purchasing the app for months now. Back in May, he jokingly staked his claim resulting in users spreading the hashtag "#WhenSnoopBuysTwitter."

"May have 2 buy Twitter now," he tweeted at the time. "Gonna replace the board of directors with Jimmy from my corner Fish Fry, Tommy Chong and tha guy with the ponytail on CNBC. First line of business. Free internet on airplanes!!! 29 dollars for 1 hour is bullsh**."

He went on to say "Everyone gets a blue checkmark. Even tha bots with 10 letters in their name that hit you in DMs n just say 'Hello'. Nah fu** those bots. #WhenSnoopBuysTwitter."

Snoop Dogg taking over Twitter could be one of the platform's best decisions.
